Tickets may be purchased online as of Thursday 28 January 2010, 10.00am.

Order now

As of 28 January 2010 starting 10am, to order any ticket, click first on "Order now". From the programme overview, you will then be directed to our Web shop by clicking on "Order Online".

Ticket availability

28 January – 23 April 2010:
Throughout this period, “Tickets Not Available Online” means that there are no tickets available at the moment. This may change on 24 April 2010, since a separate allotment will be set aside for advance booking.

10 May – 21 June 2010:

Tickets for events taking place on the same day as the ticket order may be ordered until 2 p.m. For up-to-date information on ticket availability for each performance day, call our Festival Service at (+43-1) 589 22 22.

Popups

To make unlimited use of all functionalities of our sales programme, you must enable our website popups on your PC. If your browser disables popups, an information bar will appear below the address bar to tell you that a popup was blocked. Click the information bar and select “Always Enable Popups of this Site“.

Payment by credit card

Payment is exclusively possible by credit card (American Express, Mastercard/Eurocard or Visa).
For completing orders, the three- or four-digit control number of your credit card is also required. For Eurocard/Mastercard and Visa, this control number (CVC - Cardholder Verification Code) is printed on the back of your credit card on the field left free for your signature (the last three digits); in case of American Express credit cards, it is a four-digit number printed on the front of your credit card to the left or right above the credit card number.

Ticket pick-up or mailing

You may choose from three options: ticket mailing (with a processing fee of EUR 3,50 in Austria and EUR 5,- abroad), or ticket pick-up at one of the Festival box-offices at least 4 days before the performance or at the evening box-office on the day of the performance.

Event search / Event selection

You can search for individual phrases or words contained in the title of any event by clicking on the button Ticket Search/Advanced Search.
If you want to select tickets for more events directly from the programme overview, click on "Order More Tickets" and the Shopping Cart button next to the respective event.

Seating chart booking and best available seat principle

You may select your seats directly from a seating chart of the respective theatre or hall. To book a seat directly from the chart, you need Java JRE and must activate Java Script in your browser. In addition, we offer the option of best available seat booking: as soon as you have chosen the date, category and number of tickets, the best available adjoining seats will be reserved for you. Charts of the various theatres and halls are included to provide an overview of seat prices (excepting events with free choice of seats).

JAVA plug-in for seating chart booking

For all seating chart bookings, you need the Java Runtime Environment (JRE) by Sun (Java 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition, version 1.4.1 or higher) and must then activate “Java Script” in your browser (Internet-Explorer: Select “Java [Sun]” from “Tools/Internet Options/Advanced“). If you click “Select from Seating Chart” in our Web shop, the Java Machine is started by your browser. The Java Machine first needs to load the required application. In order to shorten the loading time, we recommend to first start the Java console before selecting the command "Select from Seating Chart" in the browser menu "Tools/Sun Java Console", as this command initialises the Java environment.

Shopping cart

Our system offers you the possibility of booking additional tickets for other events before terminating the purchase procedure by clicking on Order More Tickets from the programme overview. Delete will cancel tickets from the ticket list.
The shopping cart always shows you the current status of your purchase activities.

Shopping time - 30 minutes

As of the moment of selection, any ticket will remain in the shopping cart for 30 minutes at most. After expiry of this period, the ticket will be automatically removed from the shopping cart and again be put on sale. This will not affect any other tickets that were placed in the shopping cart a shorter period before. You will receive reminders 10 and 5 minutes before expiry of the 30-minute period.
